batted first, scored 121 runs. In reply, NY Eagles hit off the required
runs for loss of 2 wickets. Contributions came from Ferrell Jagmohan
38 not out Narine Persad 33 not out and Naresh Rampersad 31 not out.
Earlier, bowling for NY Eagles, Hafeez Khan 5 for 27, Mickey Ramdeo
2 for 27 and Indar Persad 2 for 17.

CC remain undefeated as they carted a 45 run victory over United Sports

Rockaway CC on the verge of going undefeated as Nassau League will
be rapping up its final week of regular season competition this weekend.

Rockaway
CC, batting first, scored 272 for 8 from 40 overs. Once again, Sudesh
Dhaniram lead the way with yet another ton, 123 runs. He was well
supported by Tim Persaud 53 (4x6 and 4x4), and Jerry Jemadeen 52.
Similar to the prior weekend Dhainram batting patiently after a rocky
start by Rockaway, came to the crease at 43 for 3 after 10 overs.
Dhaniram and company posted 229 runs from next 30 overs, of which
117 coming from the last 10 overs.
For United, Glen Lorick picked up 3 wickets while Sewdat, Shadeo and
Komal Singh picket up 1 wicket each.
In reply, United stumbled to 56 for 6 before Daryl Roopchand and Komal
Singh rescued the innings. Roopchand and Singh posted 120 runs partnership
for the 7th wicket before Roopchand was caught at midwicket for a
fighting 85 runs. Komal Singh, having a brilliant all round season,
ended his contribution at 56. United Sports, losing only for the second
time this season, finished their innings at 227 all out in 34.4 overs.
Vikings
ended a 2 game slide as they defeated Victory at Floyd Bennett field
Floyd Bennett, Brooklyn – Vikings CC, hungry after two consecutive
losses made light work of Victory as they come away with a 194 runs
victory.
Scores: Vikings CC 339 for 8 in 40 overs
Victory CC 145 for 10 in 21.2 overs.
Vikings batting first took advantage of Victory’s limited bowling
as they scored an imposing 339 runs. Mark Gomes, batting at number
4 for the first time this season, scored his first century of the
season, 135 runs, decorated with 10 fours and 6 sixes. Gomes was supported
by Ramesh Nandkumar 48 (4x4 and 2x6). The paid added 120 runs to Vikings
scoreboard before Nandkumar was out LBW to Daman. Other contributors
to Vikings total were Nagamootoo 38, Mark A.Gomes 32 and Sohan Bheer
22 not out.
Bowling for Victory, Daman 4 wickets, Manu 3 wickets and Bobby 1 wicket.
In reply, Victory was bundled out for 145 in 22 overs. Manjit 44,
Manu 26 and Bobby 18 reached double figures.
Robert Mahesh 3 for 51, Nandkumar 2 for 26, Mark Gomes and Bheer 1
wicket each.

West Dem defeated Hempstead by 56 runs

Andy 5 for 33, Gerald 2 for 49 and Tariq 1 for 39.
In reply Hempstead innings ceased at 135 in 32 overs. Contributions
came from G.Singh 26, Ames 28 and Lawrence 25. Bowling for West Dem,
B.Persaud 5 for 23, Raj 2 for 39 and Ragnauth 2 for 20.
International
squeezed passed BQ by 3 wickets
Brooklyn Queens batting first, scored 108 all out, v.Samaroo 31, T.Ramkisson
20. International bowler, Parmanand 5 for 25, Roshan 2 for 14 and
Ian 2 for 20.
Internationl in reply, reached their target while losing 7 wickets
in the process. Dean Ali 26 not out, Kalawan 20 and Shivray 18. T.Ramkisson
returning with a career best of 6 wickets for 24 runs.
Punjabi Tigers mauled NY Lions. Scores were not available at press
