Blasts 191 As Rockaway Advance To Big 4

Rockaway’s Sudesh Dhaniram continues to dominate the Nassau
League in the area of runs. Last weekend, the hard-hitting batsman
smashed 191 against Eagles Cricket Club at the Beach 32 Street Ground.
Rockaway Cricket Club batted first and scored 313 for 6 in 40 overs.
Dhaniram’s almost double-century included 14x6’s &
14x4’s, dwarfing the contributions of his team-mates R. Siewchan,
35, and E. Gonsalves and J. Jumadeen, 19 each. Bowling for Eagles
- F. Jagmohan grabbed 3-56.
Eagles in reply reached186 for 6 in their allotted overs with F. Jagmohan,
64 and D.Mohammed, 26. Bowling for Rockaway - J. Hardeen 2-26, Tim
Persaud 2-41 and S. Dhaniram 1-14.
Rockaway behind the bat of Sudesh Dhaniram has guaranteed themselves
a spot in the League’s Big-4 “A” Division Final
this weekend at Roy Wilkins Park, located at the corner of Foch &
Merrick Blvds., in Queens.
