Everest/ACS last weekend tamed any roars Bayshore Tigers had intentions
of raising in an EACA Twenty/20 clash at Lido Beach.
Everest/ACS took the middle first and after losing their first wicket
S. N. Singh run out for 1, enjoyed a second-wicket partnership of
105 runs, eventually reaching an explosive 186 in their 20 overs,
losing seven wickets along the way. Topping the charts were opener
A. Khan, 53, T. Hastoo, 46 and skipper Z. Amin, 30. Extras accounted
for 30 of Everest/ACS’s harvest. The Everest/ACS wickets fell
at 4, 106, 134, 152, 179, 179 and 184. Sahail was the pick of the
Bayshore Tigers’ crop with figures of 4-0-30-4, while Amir and
Kumar each grabbed one wicket apiece.
Bayshore Tigers in reply found the Everest/ACS youngster and EACA’s
Under-19 captain Karran Ganesh too much to handle. Ganesh enjoyed
figures of 4-0-8-5, while being supported by K. Ramsabad with two
wickets from the only two deliveries he offered. Terry Hastoo had
1 for 21 off 3 overs, as Bayshore Tigers was held to 124 all out in
18.2 overs. This, after enjoying an opening stand of 76 from Amir,
48 and Naveed, 29.
The Tigers retreated after the brisk start of their openers, as their
other wickets fell at 83, 95, 95, 97, 101, 116, 124, 124 and 124.
