Easy Win For Middlesex And Grenada

The Brooklyn cricket league knockout second round, Wanderers vs Middlesex, match played at Marine Park B. After an hour and 15 minutes delayed start the match was reduce to a 25 overs affair. Wanderers won the toss and took first knock, Wanderers found themselves in deep trouble, losing opener Fleming bowled by the second ball of the day for a duck by Dominic Audain, Lanville came to the crease, and second ball he received was bowled by Dominic Audain, opener Bailey was the next to go bowled by Dominic Audain for duck.

Wanderers was reeling at 2 runs for 3 wickets, former West Indies player Adam Sanford joined Tyson Pain, they were both Clean bowled by the birthday boy Skipper Mark Audain for 2 in his third over. Rawl Jackman joined Skipper Carlos Bachu, they tried desperately to build a partnership, but on 11 Rawl Jackman sky a sitter to Mark Audain. Selwyn Cain was introduced into the attack, he produced an inspired spell of swing bowling, cleaning up the Wanderers tail, by taking the last 4 wickets in the inning.

Skipper Carlos Bachu batted responsible for a well played 30. Wanderers 59 all out.

Blowling for Middlesex, Dominic Audain 4 for 17 from 5 overs, Selwyn Cain 4 for 7 from 3.4 overs and Mark Audain 2 for 11 from 5 overs. Middlesex 60 for 2, Jacob Emmanuel was bowled by Carlos Bachu for 19, after surviving a barrage of short pitch bowling by former West Indies fast bowler Adam Sanford.

Donwell Hector Windward Islands batman made an aggressive 18 not out, which included two massive sixes, bowling for Wanderers Carlos Bachu 2 for 38 from 4 overs. Middlesex winning the match by 8 wickets, and will meet Grenada on September 19th at Marine Park A.

On Sunday 13th September at Marine Park A, Grenada vs Carriacou, Grenada batted first and scored 165 for 9 from 34 overs, Lester Douglas 28, Gregory Anthony 27 and Leonard James 22. Carriacou 151 all out, Danley Antoine 47, and Norton 20, bowling for Grenada Lester Douglas 3 for 28, Kelly Payne 3 for 26, and Gregory Anthony 2 for 34.
