Middlesex End The Season On A Losing Note

On 9/19 in the Brooklyn cricket knockout competition, Middlesex claimed the toss and ask Grenada to take first strike. Grenada 180 all out from 32 overs Kevin George a patient 38, Leonard James who represents St.Lucia in the Bronx a well played 34, and Gregory Anthony a busy 22.

Prolific Donwell Hector and Mark Audain.

Bowling for Middlesex Captain Mark Audain 3 for 49 from 7 overs, former Windward Islands fast bowler Casper Davis 2 for 27 from 6 overs, Dominic Audain 2 for 16 from 6 overs and Lester Benn 1 for 48 from 7 overs.

Middlesex was penalized for slow over rate, and was required to bat 29 overs. Middlesex 152 for 7, Windward Islands batsman Donwell Hector continue his polific form with a magnificent 56, which included two 6s, and five 4s, the ever dependable Casper Davis with 24, and Lester Benn finish unbeaten with 14.

Bowling for Grenada, slow left arm bowler Kelly Payne 4 for 26 from 5 overs. Grenada winning by 28 runs. Middlesex in there first season did give a good account of themselves, with 14 wins, 6 loses, and 2 rained out matches.

Donwell Hector and Casper Davis leading the averages, Hector scoring 779 runs, including 3 centuries with an average of 70.88, Casper Davis 31 wickets at 10.97 average, Dominic Audain 33 Wickets at 12.66, and Skipper Mark Audain 27 wickets at 14.88.

The knockout competition continues on Sat 26th with Imperial VS Panthers at Marine Park Brooklyn.
