Bobby Prahalad followed in the foot steps of his brother from his
last week’s success by hitting his second century of the 2008
season. In the game between Country Boys and United Stars that was
played last weekend at Rockaway Park, Bobby was in fine form hitting
a superb 103 runs, including (4x6, 8x4) and return with the ball grabbing
2 wickets for 15 runs.

United Stars won
the toss and took first strike at the crease, sending V. Dhanraj (1)
and R. Balli (8) to open the batting, with only 18 runs in the book
lost both openers. G. Sundar (4) was next out C. Ramdanny (34) and
Bobby came together and built a solid fourth wicket partnership of
86 runs. After Ramdanny was out M. Narayan (38) joined Bobby and the
two took the total over the two hundred mark. United Stars closed
their innings after their allotted 30 overs for a total of 237 for
7, with F. Baichoo (6), V. Sookraj (4) not out and C. Seebalack (1)
not out. E. Chance (2-19) and G. Towler (2-22) were the most successful
bowlers for Country Boys, R. Edwards, Y. Giddings, and A. Jerrick
took 1 wicket each.
The Country Boys batsmen were very careful at the crease and at times
too cautious as the run rate became out of their reach. While Baichoo
(3-13), Booby (2-15) and Bhola (1-23) kept the pressure on in their
six overs spell. Dhanraj (2-22) and Sookraj (0-22) did some spin bowling
and only gave up 49 runs in 10 overs as the Country Boys innings crumbled
for 147 for 9 in 30 overs.
Ward (21) top score A. Jerrick (20), G. Towler (18) and A. Towler
(12) were the only batsmen that reached double figures.
