Star Cricket Beats Rockaway CC
Rising Star destroyed Rockaway CC by 7 wickets last Sunday.
The game which was played at Beach 58th Street in the Nassau Cricket
League game.
Rising Star won the toss and invited Rockaway to take first strike.
The opening pair added 23 runs for the first wicket.
Rupert Wilmont, P. Dyanand and Rudy Naraine then further restricted
Rockaway to 85 for 4 at the end of the 20th over.
Rockaway CC batting first amassed a total of 170 for six wickets.
Robert Naraine top scored with 43 which include 4 fours and 2 sixes.
Christopher and Shine got 30 each, while Hafiz Ali and S. Seepersaud
chipped in with 14 runs apiece.
P. Dyanand and Courtney picked up two wickets apiece, Rupert Wilmont
and A. Shaw got 1 wicket each.
In reply to Rockaway CC, Rudy Naraine and Denton Gayle put on 83 for
the first wicket, Denton Gayle was beautifully caught by wicket keeper
Robert Naraine for 26. Courtney was bowled for a duck off the bowling
of Jack Narine.
Skipper P. Dyanand next to go, as he was caught and bowled by Hussain
for 6.
But it was Ram Bisram who joined veteran Rudy Naraine and added 52
to seal the win for Rising Star. Rudy Naraine was unbeaten on 110,
which included 2 sixes and 10 fours.
Ram Bisram was left not out on 22.
Jack Narine and Saud Hussain and Yazu had one wicket each.
Rising Cricket Club will meet Victory CC on June 29th at Beach 58th
Street.
NY Challengers Too Good For Albion
NY Challengers demoralized Albion cricket club at 150 and Baisley,
under some poor cricket conditions or one might say cricket in the
jungle.

open the innings with Q. Farrouq and G. Ramsingh, with Farrouq coming
off 89 not out on Saturday, looking to continue his form. Challengers
posted 201 for 9 off 40 overs.
Farrouq 82, Massiah 31, Nandalall 19, Rampersaud 13 and Mahadeo 10
were the only batsmen to reach double figures.
Bowling for Albion Dhanraj 4 for 37 from 8 overs, one wicket each
for Dass, N. Baksh, Aziz and Samad.
Albion could only muster 104 all out from 29 overs.
Behind some aggressive fast bowling from US national pacer I. Awan
and some steady swing from M. Ramdeo.
With Ramdeo and Massiah grabbing 3 wickets each, 2 from I. Awan and
1 from 17 year old C. Rose.
