Lennox Cush is Club’s New Captain

The New York based Atlantis Cricket Club’s 41st Annual General Meeting elected Guyana national player Lennox Cush as the club’s Captain, beating out all-rounder Cuthbert Mendonca for the position, while four-term President John Aaron was returned for yet another two-year term unopposed.

There were some other changes to the 2007 Board. Herbert Newton has moved up to Executive Vice President replacing Steve Welcome, who did not seek reelection. Former Atlantis President Glendon Archer has returned to the administrative group as Vice President, with Colin Sandy the club’s Secretary being returned unopposed. The new Treasurer is Desmond Thompson, replacing long-time Atlantis Treasurer Keith Aaron, who is currently working out of Africa.

Assistant Secretary Treasurer is Nigel Harper. Courtney “Sarge” Legall was returned unopposed as the club’s Manager and veteran Bill White is the club’s new coach. A vice Captain is expected to be named shortly.
